About

Me

Welcome! I’m Erica. Learned to crochet as a kid, knit and sew while in college and spin yarn just after. I’m always looking for a new challenge and there’s so many things I’d like to learn; pottery, quilting, embroidery, 3d modeling, and so much more.

Blog

This is where I hope to share my journey as I continue to learn and grow. I hope to share monthly posts on WiPs, FOs, Frogs, and wishlist items. I also want to share reviews of patterns, detailed project notes, project bags, and other things like events, diys and travel/yarn shops. Ultimately I would love to create a community to share with and learn from.

Dichoptic

When coming up with my “brand” I wanted something I could relate to or something to represent me or a part of my life. The definition of Dichoptic according to wikipedia: “Dichoptic (from the Greek words δίχα dicha, meaning “in two,” and ὀπτικός optikos, “relating to sight”) is viewing a separate and independent field by each eye. In dichoptic presentation, stimulus A is presented to the left eye and a different stimulus B is presented to the right eye.” I have a lazy eye or amblyopia and whe I was young I had to do dichoptic exercieses to strengthen my lazy eye. So dichoptic worked as representing a part of my life. But also works because most people thingk my job and my hobbies are polarizing. My 8-5 is as an accountant and anytime outside of that I’m working on some kind of craft, unless I’m making a spreadsheet to track or analyze something else. So my two stimuli; accounting and crafting are presented to the two separate parts of my life.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. I hope to see you around!
