Hello, hello, and welcome back! This week is going to be short and sweet. I wasn’t able to take any photos this time. My parents are visiting and we’ve been keeping busy!
WiPs
The only WiP at the moment is still The Cyclone Hat by MyGurumi. Someday I will finish this thing
The Cyclone Hat by MyGurumi, I mentioned last time, is a fun beanie with a twist (pun intended). The pattern itself isn’t available on Ravelry anymore but thanks to some helpful comments on the page linked above, someone was able to find a WayBackMachine version of it. I’m using RMR Yarn Co’s Rocio base in the OOAK and Por Ocho colorways. This has proven to be a nice mindless knit to work on as I watch TV or my husband play video games. I did ladder back to fix the one stitch a few rows back and I’ve made a lot more progress this month but because the gauge is so small it isn’t growing very quickly.
FOs
I finished the Geode Blanket! I used the White Lily Blanket pattern by Elena Fedotova I mentioned last month with a few tweaks. Instead of being a symmetrical square type shape the original pattern makes I’m going for more of a teardrop. It ended up more triangular but I think it turned out pretty great! Also was able to finish this a few days before baby was born.
Frogs
No frogs this month!
Loose Ends
I officially entered a few items in the County Fair coming up mid-July. I’m both excited and nervous but I’m sure it’ll be great!
Closing
Sorry for the short post! Next month should have some additional content. I’m thinking of a few bonus posts for some of the Fair entries.
